Dumpi

Privacy Policy

Dumpi is designed as a private library. It has no Dumpi account, ads, tracking, or developer-run server.

Who we are

Dumpi is developed and operated by Petr Kahanek, an independent software developer based in the Czech Republic. Questions about this policy can be sent to [email protected].

Information Dumpi handles

Dumpi stores the content you choose to save, including notes, URLs, photos, files, titles, tags, and related details. This content is stored locally on your device.

If iCloud is enabled for Dumpi, Apple's private CloudKit database syncs your library between your devices. The developer does not have access to your private CloudKit data.

Information we may receive

Dumpi does not require registration and does not send your library to the developer. If you contact support, we receive the email address, message, and attachments you choose to send.

Apple may provide purchase, crash, or diagnostic information through App Store services, depending on your device and privacy settings. Apple handles that information under its own privacy terms. Dumpi does not add third-party analytics or advertising SDKs.

How information is used

Information sent to support is used only to answer your request, investigate a problem, protect the app, or meet a legal obligation. It is not used for advertising or sold to anyone.

Processing on your device

Features such as search, previews, text recognition, and available content suggestions run on your device. Voice transcription uses Apple's on-device speech recognition. Temporary microphone audio is deleted after transcription, cancellation, or failure.

Saved links

Dumpi saves a bookmark and details available from the URL or supplied when you share it. It does not load, copy, or archive the webpage. Opening the original link takes you to the relevant website or app, whose own privacy policy then applies.

Permissions

Dumpi asks for access only when a feature needs it, such as Photos, Camera, Files, or Microphone access. You can change these permissions at any time in system Settings.

Sharing and legal requests

Dumpi does not sell or rent personal information and does not include cross-app tracking, advertising, data brokers, or third-party analytics. Information received by the developer may be shared only with service providers needed to respond to you, or when required by law, a valid legal process, or the protection of someone's rights and safety.

Retention and deletion

You can delete individual items in Dumpi. Deleted items remain in Trash for up to 30 days unless you remove them immediately. Deleting the app removes its local data; synced data may remain in your private iCloud account until removed there or from another synced device.

Support messages are kept only for as long as reasonably needed to answer the request, keep a record of the issue, or meet a legal obligation.

Security

Dumpi limits data movement by keeping your library on your devices and in your private iCloud account when enabled. No method of storage is completely secure, and the security of your device and iCloud account also depends on Apple's systems and your account settings.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, or object to the processing of personal information held by the developer. Most Dumpi content is controlled directly by you inside the app and your iCloud account. For information sent to support, contact [email protected].

Children

Dumpi does not knowingly collect personal information from children through an account or developer-run service. A parent or guardian should contact us if they believe a child sent personal information directly to support.

Changes to this policy

This page may be updated when Dumpi changes. The date at the top shows the latest version.
